  Illustrations by Charlene Chua



Charlene Chua (also known as Sygnin) is a Toronto based illustrator and a digital artist. Charlene spent her youth growing up in Singapore, where she divided her time between drawing, reading comics and failing her Mandarin classes. She started her working life in 1998 as a web designer, and went on to become a senior graphic designer, web producer and interactive project manager, with companies like Ogilvy Interactive and The Gate Worldwide.

Charlene is an award-winning illustrator whose work has appeared in magazines, cd covers, advertisements, brochures and billboards.She also illustrated the children's book, Julie Black Belt, from Immedium Publishing, and writes for Photoshop Creative and Official Painter magazines.



Since then she has worked with clients from North America, Europe, Singapore and Australia on a wide variety of illustration projects. Her work has appeared in the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles' Illustration West 43 and 45, American Illustration Tribute, and Ballistic Publishing's Exotique 4, as well as several other art books. She illustrated the children's picture book 'Julie Black Belt' for Immedium Publishing, and the short story 'Eidolon' for Image comic's Liquid City anthology.

  Pinup "Hilda" by Duane Bryers



Hilda is a generously proportioned redhead first brought to life in 1958 by artist Duane Bryers. His Hilda calendars were popular throughout the 60s and are still collectable today.

Duane Bryers is one of America's most gifted artists and has been for the better part of his ninety-four years on this planet. He earned a living as a commercial illustrator until his early fifties and gradually found himself garnering a nice amount of attention as a fine artists who specialized in western theme paintings.



A talented and successful painter, who settled in Sonoita, Arizona, Duane was raised in Virginia, Minnesota, Iron Range country, where one of his early paintings was a commissioned mural depicting the history of the mining industry of that area. He took the $3000. he earned from that project and went to New York City, where he did not achieve the quick success he expected but won a poster contest of the Museum of Modern Art.
