Illustrations by Barbara Kosoff
Barbara Kosoff began her career as a graphic designer and art director working in both the US and abroad. Her interest in getting back to making art (sans the computer) led her to create mixed-media works on paper. She works traditionally by cutting and pasting photographic images and combines them with drawing and painting with oil bars. Her background as an art director has influenced her in making thought-provoking and whimsical illustrations.
Barbara is multi-faceted senior level art director/designer and illustrator with diverse portfolio; able to think conceptually and passionate about design. Many years experience in US and abroad in creating collateral, posters, packaging, logos, branding, POP, ad campaigns and design communications from concept thru completion. Have worked in LA’s top agencies, and have art directed numerous photographers, illustrators and overseen printing.
Barbara's work has been exhibited in Los Angeles at Barnsdall Park Municipal Arts Gallery, Bonhams & Butterfields and most recently Upstairs at the Market Gallery.
